It's a small thing, but just putting 123 456 789 reduces your credibility and makes a company look really parochial, compared to +1 123 456 789.

I, like many of my North American counterparts, was not aware what you meant by this "international dialing code". Re: the global telecom marketplace, I assume you are referring to what we in the industry call "Not-America". It's of course a purely theoretical concept, not unlike dragons, but is sometimes useful for thought experiments.

a) I think you'll find it's spelled "centre"
